This award is presented by the AACT in honor of the late Dr. Stroud Jordan, a pioneer candy technologist, to recognize outstanding contributions to the field of confectionery technology. To be eligible for this award the candidate’s contributions can be in the areas of education, organization, or research but must have been performed as a service to the industry as a whole. Achievements made solely to enhance the nominee’s business or that of an employer are not considered eligible.
The award is based entirely on the merits of the individual’s accomplishments. In reviewing the nominations no weight will be given to the number of nominations received for a particular candidate.
Nominations are now accepted on a rolling basis.
